Should local hospitals accept non-local expectant mums

Posted on Sunday, March 20th, 2011 at 3:53 pm

In the recent years, more expectant mothers who come from Mainland China give birth in Hong Kong. This makes the tensity of Hong Kong hospitals stronger! This is a big problem in Hong Kong.

Although there are many hospital in Mainland China too, many of Mainlander choose to give birth through a harder way! They think the doctors in Hong Kong are more professional than in Mainland. And the gears of medical treatment in Hong Kong are also more advanced. The most important consideration is that they want their children to have the right of residence of Hong Kong so that their children can have more rights such as free education etc.

It is a big problem to let many Mainlanders to give birth in Hong Kong. First, some of them may behind in payment of giving birth in hospital, this may curse financial crisis on a hospital. Second, the finance of free education comes from the tax which is given by Hong Kong resident. Third, the space in many of public hospitals are not enought for local expectant mothers, Mainlanders give birth in Hong Kong would make hospitals more strenuous!

I suggest Mainlanders to pay on what they used!

I don't have the HK$6000!

Posted on Sunday, March 6th, 2011 at 1:25 pm

At first, the Financial Secretary, John Tsang, planned his budget injecting HK$6,000 into every Mandatory Provident Fund account. After the public would like him to plan the budget returning HK$6000 of tax, John Tsang finally accepts this suggestion. But it is only for the 18-aged Hong Kong populations! So that I can not have the HK$6000!

If I have this HK$6000, I would spend lots of them to buy things which I like. For example, I would buy some computer parts to upgrade my computer for editing videos as now my computer needs 4hours to render a 20 minutes video! This makes me feel so angry when I find some errors from the final video!

Someone said that if the market flows with much more money, the price of things will be much higher. I am afraid this as the value of my pocket money will be lower! Then I can just buy less things by using the same amount of money!

Finally, I think having the HK$6000 that may not be a positive thing for me. I wish the adults would collect them and don't spend it completely.

The Chinese New Year

Posted on Sunday, January 23rd, 2011 at 7:07 pm

Good morning everybody! The Chinese New Year is coming! Are you looking forward to it?  Ok, it doesn't matter as I would just like to share something about Chinese New year. New Year is an important festival for most of Chinese people. Chinese New Year is set to be official holidays by many different countries, such as China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore etc.

First, The meaning of celebrating Chinese New year is the beginning of a year. For this year, the Chinese New Year will start from the third of February. Before the Chinese New Year, most of Chinese people would clean up their houses on the twenty-eighth(28th) of month twelve(12) in order to sweep out the bad luck and they will be lucky in the coming year.

Second, People would place a Chinese Candy Box in their houses. The box is usually red in colour and there are some melon seed, chocolate coins etc.

And then, People would send red pocket to their children in this festival. And it always contains money amounting even number.

【Also, people like to activate some firecrackers which are explosive devices to produce a large amount of noise. However, it had been banned in Hong Kong because of the noise and security reasons.】

Finally, I wish all of us will have a healthy body and a happy Chinese New Year. That's all I want to say, Thank You!

My New Year Wish(2011)

Posted on Sunday, January 2nd, 2011 at 7:47 am

2010 was just past. There were many positive memories in 2010 such as I was the first time to be an electable exemplary student in my school. But there were also some negative memories in 2010 such as I got sickness for several weeks. Although I don't hope that time is running so fast, finally 2011 arrives!

“People always look to higher position” is a sentence in China. It means that people always hope to be better. So personally I hope to improve continuously. I hope to be taller so that I can have a better position when I line up. For study, I hope that I can know better in each subject. In this year, module 2 of mathematics is learnt for the first year so it is such new that I can't really good to understand. And my oral is bad as I think so slowly to get the point of the topic and I don't have enough of confident. The conclusion of personal hopes are to have a healthy body, a better school report card and more friends.

For our class 4E, I hope that we will be more united. If our classmates would organize a student union, I hope that their student union will be helpful to our schoolmates and it will be elected!

Finally, I wish to have a peaceful world so that war won't to be brought to our earth! And all of people will have enough food, water and a warm house!

News-Cut

Posted on Sunday, December 19th, 2010 at 7:45 pm

Good morning everybody. Have you ever tried to download iphone or ipad applications from the Apple App Store? Oh! It doesn't matter as I would just talk about the App Stores in the way of economy.
Although the biggest App Store is being held by the Apple Incorporation, there are more than fifty App Stores available worldwide. Different App Stores have different ratio for the type of apps offered. For example, in China, there are three telecoms operators which have their own App Store. For the China Mobile, it offers only 6% for games. For the China Telecom and the China Unicom, they offer 19% and 17% respectively. This reflects that the China Telecom takes more interest about games and the China Mobile takes the least.
Someone said that almost anything goes, but there is really no right or wrong way in the mobile apps space. I agree with that as no one know the trend of this new concept about mobile applications. Who earns more money from this market, who will be the winner.
In future, I think the main business of telecoms operators will not only be the network suppliers, it will be changed to mobile application selling.
That's all I want to say. Thank you.

Are the member of Post-90s less happy than those of the older generation

Posted on Tuesday, December 7th, 2010 at 7:50 pm

The word “post-90s” means the group of people who were born between 1990 and 1999. The post-90s are being thought as having  less happiness than the older generation. But I don't think so.

Firstly, the post-90s live in an environment full of high technology.  So that they can get help from the high technology such as computers, the internet and mobile phones etc. For example, when a post-90s's student is being instructed to do a report, he can find lots of related information from the internet just in a moment. And he can have more time for organizing the information since he doesn't need to go to a library and finds a right book. On the other hand, the post-90s can find lots of information easily, this can be the impulse to improve them finding answers.

Secondly, the post-90s have much help from the government. As the government extends the period of free education scheme from nine years to twelve years. So that the post-90s can enjoy the school life for a longer time and more knowledge can be absorbed from the teachers.

It has different definition of happiness for different generation. So that everyone can be also having the most happiness!

Should Hong Kong host the Asian Game?

Posted on Sunday, November 21st, 2010 at 7:42 pm

Nowadays, sports aren't popular in Hong Kong. If we can host the Asian Game, the climate of sport will be increased a lot!

Firstly, hosting the Asian Game in Hong Kong can increase the chance of getting medals for Hong Kong sportsmen. The Hong Kong citizen will have more sense of pride. The Hong Kong people sweat a lot when preparing the race and striving performance in the Game.

Secondly, more stadiums will be built before the Asian Game starts. The impetus of exercise will be raised if there are more stadiums near to the Hong Kong citizen's houses. The bigger competitiveness will be gotten by the Hong Kong citizen as we are having healthier bodies. The benefit isn't only calculated in economy.

Finally, I totally agree that the Hong Kong Government host the Asian Game. It can improve the sense of belonging and raise health of the Hong Kong citizen.

You are what you eat

Posted on Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 at 7:42 pm

Do you eat healthily? You are what you eat! If you want a healthy body, you must eat healthily! Think on the opposite side, you will be ill if you eat many junk foods.

What is the meaning of “eating healthily”? We can follow the food pyramid to draw out the plan of what we eat during daily live. For making our eating habit become more balanced, we should eat the most amount of what the bottom of the food pyramid which are showed. And to avoid eating too much of what at the higher position of the food pyramid which are shown.

Why should we need eating healthily? Our energy for our daily activities comes from what we eat. And all the things that we eat will be passed through our esophagus, viscera. Although we can't see how the process runs in our bodies, we can also learn something about what the food will be changed inside our bodies by reading books or having some biology lessons. Let me show you some facts about the food inside our bodies. After the food containing much oil passes through our small intestine, the lipid molecules, which are groups including fats and sterol, will be transferred to our heart through lymph vessel. Lots of fats passing through the heart will make the heart having a higher loading and possibly get heart disease. This is the amazing result caused by eating unhealthily.

How can we eat healthily? If you have the determination to become a healthy human, you should not keep eating high-in-fat food in your daily live. And you should avoid eating lots candies or flavoring foods. Eating more fruits and vegetables can provide dietary fiber to our bodies and these can be some towels to help cleaning our blood vessel and intestine.

For your goodness sake, you should always remember that “you are what you eat”!

Poverty Trap in HK

Posted on Sunday, October 10th, 2010 at 8:53 pm

In the recent years, the salaries of workers and clerks have been reduced. The newest values of the salaries are almost the same as receiving money from Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Scheme. Who would work if he can just get money from the scheme without working? How can he earn more money if he doesn't have a job and has a chance for promoting to a higher position? The person who never give up for money receiving from the scheme. This is a vicious circle, and that is the poverty trap in Hong Kong.

Some people are so lazy that they don't want a job. They can do something to produce a bad image. Although after some people joined the scheme and the Social Welfare Department in Hong Kong will want them to find some jobs, they can make the bosses don't let them to work in his company.

I think the Social Welfare Department in Hong Kong can do something to encourage someone who joined the scheme to earn their living by themselves. For example, the tax bureau can avoid their salary tax for one year. And the Social Welfare Department can hold some classes to upgrade their working ability with a low cost fee. Then if their bosses give them a good comment, trainees can have full refund. So that the people who want a higher income can upgrade themselves for higher competitiveness.

There are many people who are under the scheme and don't have money and chance to join some courses at outside to improve themselves. They have lower competitiveness so that they can't get a job. But the Hong Kong government needs to provide money for their living. That is a heavy burden for taxes payer in Hong Kong! So that the Hong Kong government should do something for making a ladder and let people flee the poverty trap!

Marine and Me

Posted on Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 at 8:03 pm

The earth can be divided into two parts. They are named the land and the ocean.I live on the land. How does the ocean affect my live? Let me introduce some reasons to you.

The ocean makes the earth having a good living condition for me so that I can live on the earth comfortably.Water in the ocean receives heat energy in daytime gradually. And releases the heat back into the surrounding at night. This will decrease the temperature difference between day and night. If there is no any ocean on the earth, I would experience winter and summer in the same day because of a very big temperature difference.

The ocean gives me some enjoyment of seeing a lot of wonderful  under water creatures! Last week, I followed my English teacher and my classmates went to the space museum. We watched a film which named Under the Sea.We were raising our head when watching the film.I remember that there is a creature which is like a leave. It is very lovely! If the aside didn't tell us that it was named  leafy sea dragon, I almost didn't know there was a creature staying at the coral!

The ocean gives me a lot of tasty seafood! I love to eat salmons! Salmons need the ocean for their growth. And coral trouts,  scallops, spiny lobsters also live in the ocean.

The ocean offers me so many facilities.I feel concerned when I heard some news about reclaimation of the Victoria Harbor.I shall protect the ocean so that the ocean can keep living!
